Mixed Passive Content: How to Solve It
Mixed passive content is a subset of mixed content where only passive resources like images, audio, or video are loaded over HTTP on an HTTPS page, as opposed to scripts or stylesheets that can alter page behavior. It happens for the same reason as general mixed content: leftover absolute http:// references in markup or database fields after an HTTPS migration. Browsers usually still render passive mixed content but show a 'not fully secure' warning, which erodes user trust and can suppress the padlock/secure indicator in the address bar.
